This year would be five years since Ghanaian highlife musician Theophilus Tagoe aka Castro and his alleged girlfriend Janet Bandu got lost after they had gone to Aqua Safari with Blackstars general captain Asamoah Gyan, Baffoe Gyan, and some other friends.

It was reported that Castro and Janet went on a Jet Ski ride and since then efforts by a combined search team comprising the Ghana Navy, Marine Police, local fisherfolks and professional lifeguards could not find his body.

There were speculations that the two had drowned but no eyewitness account has confirmed that theory

In the past few days, there has been a lot of Castro’s missing tales on social media, as a close friend alleged that Castro is still alive and will return soon.

Meanwhile, father of missing Castro has sent a warning through an interview to Asamoah Gyan over comments he made about his son’s disappearance and whereabouts.

Castro’s father in an interview with Kofi Adomah of Kofi TV who did not want to wade into his son’s location fingered Asamoah Gyan as the one they know was with Castro when the incident happened.

The aggrieved father mentioned that Asamoah Gyan is not a family member thus they don’t want him to take on public relations duties for the family.

He revealed that Asamoah Gyan since the disappearance of Castro has only gotten in touch with him once.

‘Ask him how many times he has got into contact with the family after Castro disappearance’, he quizzed.


Castro father shared his grief over his missing son but indicated that he has cast all his worries on the Lord and invited Kofi to put himself in his shoes to understand his plight.
