Yesterday, veteran Disc Jockey, Dj Black released his top 50 Ghanaian rappers of all time and this brought mixed reactions among social media users and musicians alike as Feli Nuna terribly criticised him for not adding her name.
The list which consisted of 50 emcees both active and inactive sees Obrafour being the finest according to DJ Black’s tentative opinion. In an order of excellence, the list sees D Black at the bottom of the list.
DJ Black’s list below:
DJ Black reacting to critics of his list has made it known that he made the list according to his own preference. Explaining what informed his selection, DJ Black noted that he ranked the artists according to how well they have performed in his presence amongst other rappers.
Explaining the criteria used in ranking the artistes he said:
“This list is in my order so it’s my choice. It is based on their skill, dexterity and of course, most of these artistes have freestyled in front of me before so that’s how I got my list,”
He further added that people who think otherwise about his selection can create their own list so as to spark conversations regarding their rankings.
“Other people creating their lists will generate a needed conversation in the industry,”
