GhCelebs.com has sighted a video of an Egyptian husband and his Ghanaian wife who were made to sweep Assin Fosu lorry station for dumping the residue of maize he had chewed.
The man identified as Mohammed Fatari and his wife Fatima Nah were made to sweep the lorry station for the environmental offence.
The man threw a corn cob in a gutter near the Assin Fosu railway bridge at a time when the Municipal Assembly was dredging the gutter off the filth.
The Assembly apprehend him and made the couple sweep the lorry station as a punishment for breaking an environmental health law.
The Environmental Health Officer of the Municipal Assembly who spoke to Adom TV quoted Environmental Health Law, Act 851 section 56 which stipulates that any action that can bring about environmental health problem should be punished.
